Thanks to my hair crew, I’m presentable again. At least for a month or so. 🙂
The weather today is so glorious, it cheers a winter-weary heart. I’ve spent much of my morning quiet time just admiring it, and also savoring my coffee in the pretty new cup I bought in Oregon. Since the Triple L is basically a small ranch, we drink out of mugs around here, mostly–I collect them in my travels and get a big kick out of variety–but this one is special, too. Kind of fussy and feminine, and that’s good if you don’t over do it. 🙂
I’m formally starting “Big Sky River” today, and I’m very excited about that. Traditionally, the first chapter takes a few days longer than any other, simply because of all the staging–particularly when there have been two previous books in the series, because continuing readers will want to know how the characters from the other stories are doing. New readers, on the other hand, aren’t as interested (unless they decide to go back and read the rest of the series), and every book has to stand alone, a complete story in and of itself, while continuing the threads of what has gone before. Lest you think I’m complaining, not so. I LOVE the whole process, and now that I’m being treated for ADD, everything is a whole lot easier.
Mom’s Day coming up. I got a good one, and I love her very much. (This means you, Mom.)
That’s the news for today, from right here at my kitchen table.
Be well, be safe, and be kind. A smile and a good word can make all the difference sometimes.
