Yesterday wasn’t a BAD day–I don’t have those, subscribing, as I do, to the philosophy that if I can open my eyes in the morning and get out of bed, it’s a good day. 🙂
It would be more apt to say that yesterday was an inconvenient day. Murphy’s Law, run amok–if anything could go wrong, it did. Small things, granted–but those are very the things that drive me crazy. For instance, I was writing away, and my computer decided to do this totally weird thing, and solving the problem (thank you, Rachel Burchot at Harlequin) took precious time. Things spilled, broke or went missing. By supper time, I was frazzled–had my heat-and-eat meal and turned in early, with a book. (At least books always work, and you don’t have to shut them off on airplanes for take off and landing. But I digress.)
Today is a new day, and I shall be rejoice and be glad in it. Even if a lot of pesky stuff happens.
The hot weather broke in the night, and I awakened with a Yorkie practically standing on my head, due to loud rolls of thunder and flashes of lightning. I told her the angels were bowling–league day, no doubt–but she wasn’t buying it. 🙂 She stuck to me like a bad reputation throughout the early-morning routine (coffee, the Daily Audio Bible, cats in, cats out), but finally calmed down. As I write this, she’s on a barn jaunt with Jenni, her favorite thing to do.
Anyway, the rain is a blessing, as usual. The house is cozy and I have a book to write.
Life is good.
