Wouldn’t you know—the Canadian Wrangler (aka Larry) took a header and cracked a rib. Unfortunately, there isn’t much available in the way of treatment–it’s rest-and-suffer, I guess. (The way things have been going on this spread, I’m thinking of sending out a memo that reads, “Nobody buy a lottery ticket!”) 🙂
We were supposed to have sunshine today, but so far, the weatherman hasn’t delivered. Imagine that.
It’s a writing day, and I’m still slugging away at that opening scene. As I blog, I’m listening to Deborah Rodrequiz’s MARGARITA WEDNESDAYS, a memoir. She’s the author of THE KABUL BEAUTY SCHOOL; I’m planning to listen to that one, too. Along with Janie Chang’s THREE SOULS. I recently listened to CHINA DOLLS, by Lisa See–I positively loved her memoir, ON GOLD MOUNTAIN.
Sure enough, it just happened again. This blasted machine gobbled down another chunk of text!
I was saying that my passion for crystals and gemstones is as strong as ever–they’ve been a real comfort during recent weeks. I still favor moss agate for those aches and pains that come along with rainy weather and stress, and rose quartz is good in any situation.
Hobby-wise, I’m still making artist trading cards in my spare time, and I’ve discovered epoxy clay, thanks to a video I watched on Craftsy. Another source of inspiration is Joggles.com, where there are lots of cool demonstrations to choose from. I watched a whole one in the car on the way back from our trip to Northport, and even ordered the associated supplies–what an age we live in. 🙂
