First, I’ll announce last week’s contest winners: Jana Vincent and Patti Belew. Congratulations, ladies–your autographed books will be on their way tomorrow. As always, a new contest begins today, so be sure to comment. Maybe next Monday, I will be announcing your name. 🙂
I stayed at home over the 4th of July weekend, and it was very peaceful. I wrote, made artist trading cards, experimented with recently discovered products–mainly the Dylusions spray-on inks I mentioned last week. The colors are absolutely delicious–I love seeing them saturate watercolor paper, love combining them, love the richness of the pigments. I also listened to audiobooks, of course, part of a suspense novel called YOU SHOULD HAVE KNOWN, and all of Mary Ann Williamson’s workshop, RETURN TO LOVE.
I’m really into the new book I’m writing myself–THE MARRIAGE CHARM–and you can expect a few surprises with this story. (Good ones, I hope.) It took me a while to get a handle on this one- but I’ve figured things out and I’m really rolling now.
I expect to do well at Weight Watchers this Wednesday–I’m down a little, per my own scale. I suspect the ounces gained last week were water retention or something, because I was eating the way I always do. I find the Simply Filling plan so easy to follow, and I never feel deprived, as I’ve said before.
On the 18th of July, I’ll be flying back East to visit Nora Roberts’ book store, TURN OF THE PAGE, in Boonesboro, on the 19th, between 12 and 2 pm. If you live in the area, I hope you’ll stop in and say howdy.
That’s the news for today, my friends.
