San Diego is full of friendly people and pleasant places, and yesterday, Jeremy, Wendy and I visited a local Farmer’s Market. Unlike many others, this one was limited to a few hours on Friday afternoon/evening and set up along a street lined with restaurants and shops.
Honestly, the experience was quite nearly magical.
Music played, and sweet dogs of all breeds and sizes, all on leashes of course, were all around us, receiving compliments and gentle pats on all sides.
I wore one of my Jesus shirts, as I often do, featuring a large cross and the words, “I can’t, but I know a Guy,” and enjoyed several conversations with other believers.
We had dinner at a table in front of a busy café, and the food was beyond delicious.
The wait staff was kind and efficient.
We can’t wait to go back. Next time, we plan to take Marge, Wendy and Jeremy’s Golden Retriever, as we know she would absolutely love all the attention, the music, the pleasantly crowded sidewalks where she would receive many compliments—she always does, wherever she goes—from both humans and other canines.
