For me, art is therapy.
I’m no Georgia O’Keefe, mind you.
Crafting is probably a better word for what I do.
For several years, I did acrylic pouring, and I even sold a few pieces. Back then, I had a large area to work (play ☺) in. Since I downsized—and I’m very glad I did that—I don’t have a lot of extra space for that sort of thing.
I do love working with resin and I recently started making ATCs (Artist Trading Cards) again. Somewhere in the stuff that is still packed away, I have binders filled with cards I made myself and ones I received by trading online. That group has since shut down, but scanning Facebook, I can see that there are others, and maybe I’ll join one.
As I paint or draw or cast resin, my mind calms down, and ideas for new stories begin to sprout.
