Busy day!

Friday, Apr 17

Whenever somebody has a birthday, the whole crew celebrates, and today it was Jeremy’s turn.  A great time was had by all.
After things settled down, I decided I needed some art therapy.  I did some sketches and painted all afternoon.  Also poured a few candles–don’t you love the smell of beeswax?
The weather is simply glorious.  The tulips and daffodils are rioting in my flowerbeds, and the birds are all back from their winter homes.  I love watching them–the other day, one of them hovered like a little heliocopter just the other side of the kitchen window, peering in, as if he might be wondering what the heck these crazy humans were up to now.  Of course I’ve seen hummingbirds fly in place like that, but never a regular bird.
Thanks for all your book suggestions.  I’m going to print out the comment page and check them out.  My only lament: so many books, so little time.
Here’s wishing you a lovely weekend, wherever you are.  Be sure to comment if you haven’t done so already; we’ll be announcing two new winners on Monday morning.
See you then.
