Great news!

“Big Sky Country” debuted at #1 on the New York Times bestseller list!!  This came as a joyous surprise, because I’d seen the competition when Wendy and I were cruising the book section at Target and I figured, well, maybe next time.  🙂  This is in large part due to your incredible loyalty, so thank you, one and all.  Thanks also to the fabulous team at Harlequin, my beloved editor, Joan Marlow Golan, and my beloved agent, Irene Goodman.  (Now I’m starting to sound like an Oscar winner, so I’ll shut up.)
Bernice is just back from her barn visit with Jenni.  She won’t give poor Jen any peace at all–soon as she comes in the door in the morning, the Yorkie is all over her, yapping and looking ridiculously cute.  This cuteness can be a formidable weapon.  🙂  Sadie-beagle had it down to a fine art–she could just turn those luminous brown eyes on me and I’d say, “Beggin’ Strips?  How many?”  This is why she had to undergo a lengthy exercise and weight loss program.  If there’s anything more persuasive than a dog’s eyes, I don’t know what it is.
We’re enjoying what I suspect is a brief spate of sunshine.  Oh, well, I’ll be teleported to Parable, Montana in a little while anyway, and I can control the weather there.  🙂
Spending my evenings working with polymer clay, trying out things I learned from Laurie Mika.  Too fun.
Much love to all of you, and many thanks for buying “Big Sky Country”.
Signed,
One Grateful Cowgirl
