It’s Mary Ann’s birthday

Thursday, Jan 17

Mary Ann, as many of you know, is my first cousin and also the Trail Boss here on the Triple L.  We’ve literally been together all our lives–as babies, we often slept in the same crib.  She’s six months younger than I am, and she rubs it in when my birthday rolls around in June.  Inevitably, though, here comes January 17, and the tables are turned.  🙂  Anyway, that’s why I’m late doing this blog.  🙂  We all went out to lunch together–and I didn’t go off my food plan though still enjoyed a delicious burger–so it’s all good.  Only two more days and I will have completed the 21 day induction program, which won’t change my life much except for that glass of wine with lunch or supper.
Sorry to be late naming the winner of this week’s contest, re: your favorite book.  The winner will be emailed today and announced tomorrow, I promise.
Wow, is it ever cold here.  The horses seem to love the dnow, but Buck wears a coat and now April is sporting one, too.  I’m sure grateful they have that snug barn to spend the night in.
I plan to get some writing done now, so I’m going to cut this short for today.
Stay well.
