Tule, aka Tim the Tool Man Taylor :), is well on the way to full recovery. Turns out, he had a mild case of pneumonia, and, thanks to the fabulous team at Dr. Steven Bauer’s office and at Spokane’s fine Pet Emergency Clinic, he’ll be all right. He received some fluids by IV, along with medicine and rest, and he’s home to stay. I don’t know who is happier about his return, me or his brother Mowgli. They’ve become buddies, that’s for sure, and the cats are beginning to tolerate them, which is definite progress. 🙂
As I write this, I’m listening to a new audiobook by one of my favorite authors, Joy Fielding. The title is “She’s Not There” and, like all Ms. Fieldings’ books, it’s great. I recently listened to “The Readers of Broken Wheel Recovery Recommend”, by Katarina Bivald. The story was translated from Swedish, though it takes place in Iowa, and it is charming. I also enjoyed “The Widow”, by British author Fiona Barton, but it IS rather grim, and some people might find it disturbing.
Did I mention that the daffodils and tulips are coming up? 🙂
