Wendy, like her mama, is a writer.
She started out doing screenplays, and actually had one script produced. It was called Truth Below and was featured on MTV.
In addition to that, she had several scripts optioned by major film producers.
Now, she’s writing a novel—brace yourself, it’s really, really good.
I can’t tell you about it, since it’s not mine, but when it comes out, believe me, I’ll let you know.
All that aside, Wendy is a very smart woman.
The other day, I was on the verge of stressing out over something that happened, but I awoke to a text from her. In part, it read, “I’m choosing my response.”
I really needed to hear that.
We don’t have to go with whatever feelings arise in moments of crisis or upset.
We can stop, take some deep, slow breaths, and remind ourselves that we can choose our response to just about anything.
You’d think I’d know that, at my age, but alas, I needed a reminder.
