Open the eyes of my heart…

Thursday, May 16

That’s my prayer today.  (It’s also the track that is playing at the moment, from a CD called “Beautiful Worship”.  Yesterday, I rocked to Aretha Franklin belting out gospel songs.)  I will definitely order the new Alan Jackson CD, pronto–thanks for the suggestion!
Yesterday was another good writing day–I’m LOVING this book, “Big Sky Secrets”, even though writing it has been a lot like giving birth–painful at times.  The feelings run deep and yet I WILL keep the eyes of my heart open, with God’s help.
This weekend I’m heading for Ellensburg with daughter Wendy to attend the big Western Art Show–looking forward to it so much.
My friend, artist/actor Buck Taylor, (he was Newly on “Gunsmoke”) is doing a painting for me, one I commissioned.  It’s a portrait of Michael Landon, as Little Joe Cartwright.  My first love, and second favorite cowboy of all times.  (My dad is in first place.)
Our weather continues to swing wildly between dreary and gloriously sunny–it’s been a wild ride.  🙂  Some of the planting has been done, though, and I’m already pouring over catalogs for tulips and daffodils to plant in the fall.  I need another hundred acres to accommodate all the flowers I want to grow.
Off to a doctor’s appointment, followed by an afternoon in Three Trees, with my story people.
Be blessed, and know that you are loved.
