Linda Park and Rosemary–congratulations, ladies.
A new contest begins on Monday, so be sure to stop by the blog and make a comment.
I’ve spent the whole week rebuilding my strength, and I’m pretty much there, I am ever so glad to say.  Since I’m generally an active person, operating at zero-energy was no fun at all.
This morning, I awoke to find that all of the snow had melted–better yet, I heard birdsong.  Sure enough, when I came downstairs, I spotted a robin in the backyard.  YES!  That got me to thinking about my daffodil and tulip bulbs, down there under the cold, wet dirt, getting ready to spin their God-given magic and amaze us all with radiant colors and that singular luminosity only real flowers have.
What I did today: Mary Ann and I went to Walmart.  Now, I LOVE Walmart–there are so many great things available there–but it usually wears me out, too.  I have to wheel up and down every single aisle, lest I miss something.  🙂  This time, my purchases included: two pajama sets (in a smaller size, thank you very much), cat and dog treats in truly ridiculous amounts, bananas and apples, because I go through those like there’s no tomorrow, and a set of glass mixing bowls.  My supply was pretty low, mostly because of attrition–a couple of times, I put Bernice’s water in one (she prefers outside water over inside water), forgot about it, and went out onto the deck the next morning to find the thing frozen solid.  A couple of times, the bottom of the bowl stayed put when I lifted it.  Yeesh.  The Pyrex set is impressive–10 nesting bowls, in every possible size–and I won’t be using them for dog water.  🙂

Starting next week, we’ll be giving away the first of four copies of POSITIVITY, a wonderful book I wanted to share with you.  There will be more of my necklaces, too, and, of course, an autographed copy of BIG SKY SECRETS.
My Great Courses math course arrived today.  It will be interesting to see how this turns out.  I’m really enjoying their, THE JOY OF SCIENCE on my iPod, although honesty compells me to admit that I don’t get everything the man says.  🙂
One more note: some of you won dolomite/jade necklaces.  I’ve discovered since that the glue I used wasn’t strong enough.  Please re-glue yours, using Super Glue or Loctite’s GO 2 glue, which is excellent.
Have an excellent weekend, my friends.  Be safe, be well, and be kind.
