I think I am addicted to spring. It is SO beautiful–and I’m 99 percent sure this is my beloved sister-in-law Anna’s birthday. 🙂 Have a happy one, sweetie–we love you very much.
Well, yesterday was just CRAZY busy, but it all got done. I had my dental appointment–along with getting my hair cut and colored, this is one of my least favorite activities–but now it’s over and I have shiny white teeth. 🙂 I also enjoy visiting with the hygenist, Sue, although a lot of the conversation is necessarily one-sided. 🙂 I attended group in the afternoon–5 out of 8, completed. A lot of good information gets exchanged at these gatherings, and they always go by super-fast. While at the clinic, I made the appointment for my yearly physical. I’m trying to take better care of myself–or, as my friends often remark, do at least as much for me as I do for my pets. (Most of my friends are smart alecs.)
The horses are overjoyed with the warmer weather, too. It means they can camp-out instead of being shut up in their stalls. In winter, of course, it’s another story–the stalls are a huge blessing then.
Two new goals have cropped up on my list. One is to take a course in Transcendental Meditation, and the other is to spend a week on retreat at a monastery. I read and loved Kathleen Norris’s book, “The Cloister Walk” and have wanted to have a similar experience of my own. I’ll keep you posted on my progress.
I have silk flowers everywhere–they’ve come a long way, baby, and look real unless you get up close to them–as I couldn’t wait any longer for the real flowers to come on. Some of the neighbors have daffodils in bloom and soon my beloved peonies will be splashing my world with color. Flowers have been appearing in my art journal for weeks now–I have been so hungry for spring.
Be well, be blessed, and be kind.
I’ll be back tomorrow.
