How does this happen? One moment, it’s Monday and the next, it’s Friday. Time is whizzing by.
Which is not to say I’M whizzing anyplace–I’ve been moving in slow motion all week. I don’t know when I’m going to learn that, for all my writing enthusiasm, I need a few days to nap and putter after any significant trip. 🙂 Frankly, I’m pooped.
A whole bunch of late-blooming lilacs have kicked in on the other side of the back fence–didn’t even realize they were there. Neither did anyone else in the outfit–but they’re beautiful. Another answer to the “Surprise me, God,” prayer.
Lovely bouquet from my agent, Irene Goodman, and her husband, Alex–in celebration of the surprise of the year. Honestly, I didn’t expect that, given the other writers who have new books out right now. Flowers, flowers–like my dad, I don’t believe there could ever be too many flowers…
Still haven’t planted my zinnias. For shame. I’m a lazy cowgirl this week–maybe I should change the name of the ranch to the Lazy Triple L. 🙂
Or not.
Have a grand weekend, all of you. Be safe, be well, and be kind.
