I love it when I wake up early–that way, I have a few hours to putter, drink coffee, feed indoor critters, listen to the Daily Audio Bible on my iPod and write this blog without feeling rushed. Ideally, I’m at my computer by nine a.m., that being when I do my best writing. Today, I’ll be leaping straight into Parable with both feet. 🙂 This just in: there will be three MORE Parable books next year. YEEHAW!!! I do love the place and the people and yes, the dogs, horses and cats.
I’ll be heading out to the lake for a barbecue with the kids tomorrow, and probably Bernice and I will stay overnight. The fireworks over the lake are something to see, and time with Wendy and Jeremy is precious, of course. They’re planning to return to Californnia in the fall, but I’m loving having them here for the whole summer. Jeremy has already made significant progress with my poor neglected flowerbeds, bless his heart.
Have a safe and happy Fourth, give a thought to those who guard our freedom with their very lives, and remember, please, that small animals can be terrified by the noises, so it’s good to keep them inside and reassure them a lot. I realize that most of you already know that, and will automatically do the right thing, but when it comes to four-leggers, I can’t help nagging. 🙂
I’ll be back on Thursday.
