Today was a good writing day–which is why I waited until tonight to write this blog. 🙂
The renovations continue to be challenging. The hot/cold handles for my bathtub arrived, and they fit. HOWEVER, the sprayer and the faucet do not, and must be returned, exchanged, etc.
Yikes.
Our weather is very spring-like–patches of sunshine, but mostly rain. The daffodils seem to love it, and the tulips are about to open, too. YES. The horses are still spending nights in their cozy stalls, but I can tell they’re ready to stay outside, 24/7. Except for Buck, who has been known to put himself away in whatever stall appeals to him at the time, my hayburners love to be out.
I’ve downloaded some new books to listen to on my iPod–“A Change in Altitude”, by Anita Shreve, “The Good Daughters”, by Joyce Maynard, “In the Name of Love”, by Ann Rule (my absolute favorite true-crime writer), “Married to a Stranger” and “Sisters” by Patricia MacDonald (I wait and wait for her books to be released), “Starting Now: A Blossom Street Novel”, by my good friend, Debbie Macomber, and “Unsinkable: A Memoir”, by Debbie Reynolds. Lots of good listening ahead for me–I have to force myself to turn off the iPod at a reasonable hour; otherwise, I tend to listen until the sun comes up. 🙂
More writing tomorrow; I’m starting early. The next blog will probably be posted in the evening, like this one.
