I will be finishing up “Big Sky Secrets” today, except for any polishing my editor may want. I am going to MISS this book, even mourn it a little, but ideas for my brand new series are already percolating in my brain, as are the characters and the majestic Western setting–this time, it’s Wyoming. Stay tuned for more details–you’ll hear them here first. 🙂
I’m looking forward to my accupuncture appointment this afternoon–I’m ready for some relaxation. I’ve been following a pretty strict schedule these past two weeks or so. The thing is, I’ve grown to LOVE getting up so early, not having to rush, and getting to my computer when the house is still quiet, so I plan to continue the routine, with a few modifications, of course. 🙂 Such as, weekends off and more time for hobbies in the afternoons and a lot less pressure.
The renovations continue–one idea just seems to lead to another. I started with a guest bathroom, and that evolved to upgrading MY bathroom, followed by two OTHER guest room bathrooms and then the guest rooms themselves! Our handiman, Doug, is so versatile that he also re-did the front yard–and I’ve got a long list of other improvements I want to make, too, so no end in sight. I especially love my new office–it’s shaping up nicely, and the energy is good. And you should see my closet–it contains ONLY things I actually wear. What a concept.
Just don’t get me started on the craft room. That’s still a horror–though it won’t be in such a jumble for long, because I plan on spending a lot of my free time getting it straightened out.
Today would have been my cousin Stevie Paparich Wickstrom’s birthday. Mary Ann and I both think of her, and all the good times we had, growing up together in and around Northport. Remember that conga line you led, up and down Main Street? Remember rushing home to dance to “American Bandstand”? Playing “Bonanza” for hours on end? Paparich, you were the life of the party, and we love and miss you mucho. Furthermore, you have some tall explaining to do when we get over there–you left WAY too early!
Phew–lots of ground to cover today.
And now for the winners of a signed book and a GREAT pair of earrings from Cowboy Christmas. You are:
Tia and Connie Johnson.
Congratulations, ladies.
