Land That I Love…

Last weekend was our country’s 250th year as an independent nation.

What a history we have.

Today and every day, I am grateful for and to the men and women who have fought so hard to protect our freedom.  Whenever I encounter a soldier, I thank him or her for their service.  If I know someone is a veteran, I thank that person, too.

Many folks celebrated this past weekend, when the fireworks filled the skies from sea to shining sea, but Wendy, Jeremy and I got together the day before and it was wonderful.  My dogs went along and they were thrilled, as always, to visit Margie’s house.

We played croquet in the back yard, and Mowgli and Tule kept joining in the game.

After the croquet match, we enjoyed a fabulous meal, prepared by Jeremy.

I will be grateful for the joy of that day, and for all my beloved friends and family members.  And who else?

Every last one of you.  Thank you.
