Honestly, this Gemini cowgirl finds life to be almost impossibly interesting at times! I keep discovering new (to me) things, and while I suppose this qualifies me as a classic will-o-the-wisp, it’s a very pleasing way to live.
For instance, my passion for gemstones. That has led me in all sorts of new directions, as well as renewing my commitment to meditation. My beautiful glass boxes with their pyramid-shaped lids really DO charge crystals and gemstones. (I know, I know, it sounds all flakey and new-age, but the bottom-line is that, for me anyway, it works. I can charge a stone or stones overnight and literally feel the difference.)
Since one thing inevitably leads to another—at least in my humble experience–I purchased a small wooden pyramid, just a frame with a base, really, and experimented with that. Result? Same as before. There is a distinct change in the energy.
So that led to yet another what-if–what if I meditated sitting under a pyramid shape? Would I feel the energy? I don’t know, but I plan to find out–I bought a copper frame-work pyramid on Etsy, and I plan to test my theory as soon as it arrives. (That will be several weeks from now, since the thing has to be built to order and shipped from Colorado.) Once I’ve done some expermenting, I will be sure to report on it here, whether it’s boom or bust. 🙂
I’m sure certain friends and family members will snicker at this–I would have snickered at the idea myself, not so long ago–but others will understand and want to try it themselves. I have always considered such things to be a joke–crystals included–and even now I wouldn’t be caught dead in one of those pyramid hats :)–but I’ve learned some things lately. The most outstanding discovery? Just how darn much there is going on in this world of ours that I don’t know diddly about.
Truly, as the Bard said, there are more things in heaven and earth than this world dreams…
Let us suppose, for the sake of argument, that my copper pyramid turns out to be just another sign of my eccentricity. (And I am eccentric, no doubt about that, though I like to think in a good way.) As with my art, where I make LOTS of mistakes and still feel the thrill of discovery each time, whether I fail or succeed, I will enjoy the enterprise nonetheless. At the very least, the story will make for good conversation and more than a few laughs, and that alone makes the attempt worthwhile, as far as I’m concerned.
I read and listen to books constantly, as many of you know. (My computer is being weird again so please bear with me.) Perhaps, if one pours out millions of words onto paper and screen as I have, over the course of my life, they must also drink them in at every opportunity, must gobble up all sorts of words used in all sorts of ways, along with colors and images.
It’s worth thinking about, wouldn’t you say?
