Friday chatter

Saturday, Apr 26

First, our winners for this week are Pamela Devereux and Peggy Casey.  Congratulations, both of you.
As always, the new contest begins on Monday.
Last night, Wendy and I attended a gem class at Wonders of the World–I had taken the class before, but I’m glad I took a review.  I learned more, just as I had hoped I would.  Wendy (my daughter), fell madly in love with a stone called lepidolite–she bought several samples, lovely lavender specimens.  Lepidolite is calming, among its other stellar qualities.  Sure is fun to share this enthusiasm with Wendy as well as my mom, who was a collector long before I started.
I’m listening to a new book by Gillian White, THE PLAGUE STONE.  It’s a suspense novel, and I love those, but it’s a little dark and I may switch to something cheerier.  🙂  As I write this, new books are being downloaded–looking forward to Good Morning, America’s Robin Roberts’ memoir, EVERYBODY HAS SOMETHING.  I deeply admire this woman; she is so brave, facing her second battle with cancer, and somehow managing to remain upbeat.
ONCE AGAIN, THIS DARN COMPUTER HAS EATEN A PARAGRAPH.  SIGH.
Here’s wishing you the best weekend ever.
See you on Monday.
